Catch The Montmartre Electric Bus (Montmartrobus)

Place des Abbesses, Montmartre, Paris

Place des Abbesses, Montmartre. The metro entrance “is one of only three original Guimard entrances left in Paris”

In case you are bewildered, standing with a map in your hand, using out of date instructions, looking for the electric Montmartrobus and only seeing the white tourist train, have no fear, photos and instructions are here.

At Place Pigalle you will see three major bus stops.

In the center waiting area, look for an emblem of Sacre-Coeur with a blue background. The other buses at this stop are 30 and 54. Take the Montmartre bus in the direction of Jules Joffrin (city hall of the 18th arrondissement).

Many travel options are available to enjoy the Montmartre area. For public transportation (RATP fares), use your regular metro/bus tickets (Ticket t+), your day pass/Mobilis, your Paris Visite card, you can buy a ticket on the bus or you can walk.

If you are in a hurry to get to Place des Abbesses, it will be your third stop.

Once the bus reaches the city hall in the 18th (Jules Joffrin), it takes a different route back to Pigalle.

Visit the RATP (Paris transportation) page to view and download the route.
