Snow Day in the Bastille

by Colleen's Paris

It is a second day of snow in Paris (January 7), which stopped 40% of the air traffic. Buses, trucks, deliveries were postponed until the afternoon. Today was windier with a heavier snowfall than January 5. My original plan to take the bus to the Eiffel Tower to enjoy the scenery ended quickly this morning. No buses were running. The metro was working, but the sidewalks were so slippery, I decided to enjoy the winter wonderland visually and stay in my own neighbourhood. (Click on the photos to enlarge them.)
